Skutt sensing rod for use with Skutt kilns with 3" brick. Please measure your old sensing rod to ensure you're ordering the correct length.
The sensing rod passes through the tube assembly and applies its weight to the small cone. This is a critical piece of the dawson sitter system, and these rods can bend over many years of use. You can make sure your sitter is calibrated properly by using a gauge washer which can be found here.
If you are not sure what size you need, remove it completely and measure it.
