Slab Rollers allow for quick and efficient production of clay slabs used in handbuilding and sculpting, and as additions to wheel-thrown forms. Clay slab rollers are essentially industrial-sized rolling pins - however, the benefits of using a slab roller over are a rolling pin are numerous. One of the main reasons that artists use clay slab rollers is for the even, consistent slabs they can create very quickly. These slabs are great for working with our slump molds and hump molds, as well as tile making and other handbuilt ceramic wares.

Slab rollers are available in large, stand-alone floor models and in tabletop versions. Large-scale slab rollers are ideal for university classrooms and studios, where studios may be a bit more spacious. All clay slab rollers can produce slabs of varying thicknesses, as the slab size is adjustable on all models. Tabletop slab rollers are handy as their size and portability make them especially useful in small, private studios and primary school classrooms. They are easy to use and like the larger models they have the ability to produce slabs of varying sizes.
