That's right -- Our popular kiln posts are produced right here at The Ceramic Shop in Norristown, PA! Each post is hand-crafted and produced one at a time. Our kiln posts can be fired to Cone 10 and are therefore quite versatile. Our classic 1½" square posts are available in a variety of heights, ranging from ½" to 14", allowing you to maximize the use of space in your kiln by stacking kiln shelves as high or as low as is necessary. The posts themselves can be stacked on top of each other, in between shelves, so that you can achieve the perfect shelf height.
Due to popular demand, we are also happy to offer 1" thick posts. These are ideal for glass kilns as well as smaller pottery kilns to support lighter shelves and loads which maximizing the space in your kiln!
We take pride in our kiln posts because we know how important it is to have strong and durable supports for your kiln shelves. Our posts are heavy-duty and can take a great amount of wear and tear. Because we make them here, we are able to keep retail costs down, so in addition to being reliable our posts are also extremely affordable.
