Amaco Glazes

Most of the AMACO® Opalescent Glazes have a high gloss similar to mother-of-pearl. Best results are achieved with three or four applications of glaze. When applied to textured pottery the glaze flows thin on relief and thick in incised areas, giving an added dimension on the surface. The lustrous iridescent glaze looks best over red low fire clay but can be used with white and buff clay too. Opalescent glazes look great over Amaco Velvet Underglazes.
