About this kiln
Glass firing kilns are used for fusing and forming of glass shapes, precious metal clay and heat-treating. 120 volt glass fusing and precious metal clay models are equipped with a lid element for the fusing segment of the glass firing and a body element for the ramping up and down and annealing segments of the firing. A selector switch is on the electrical box to designate either the lid or body element to heat during the firing.

Options for customization:
First, choose which controller best suits your needs. The Olympic 146GFE comes standard with a KilnStar 3-key controller. With this controller you can fire your kiln with the touch of a button - data is entered by simply scrolling through to set the desired cone fire, or fire in ramp/hold mode. You will be amazed at the flexibility this simple digital controller offers. However, if you are focused on dialing in your glaze programs, or would like to have maximum control and program storage options, you may want to consider adding a 12-key KilnStar controller or the new Genesis touch-screen controller. The 146GFE is also highly customizable and you can choose to add a bead door or viewing window. The 146GFE can also be ordered with a furniture kit.
