For over 40 years now, Olympic Kilns has been manufacturing well-built, affordable kilns for the studio, classroom, and home. Originally based in Seattle at the base of the Olympic mountains, the company relocated to Georgia in 1982 to be closer to the raw material needed to manufacture kilns. Why would that make a difference? Olympic is well-known for being a producer of extremely affordable, yet extremely professional kilns – and it’s precisely their proximity to insulating firebrick and other kiln-building materials that allows them to build a great product at a great price.
Olympic kilns are also unique because there are so many models and designs from which to choose! In fact, the company manufactures more different types of kilns than any other company today. This means that they certainly have a kiln to fit your space and your needs. Olympic also does custom kilns!
For the potter who is concerned with green studio practice, Olympic has been at the forefront of energy-efficient kilns – all at an affordable price. Their Medallion series focuses on providing artists and teachers with easy-to-use, yet professional-grade kilns that feature standard 3” brick walls. These walls are ½” thicker than most kiln walls – this holds in heat better, meaning you need less electricity to fire your kiln to temperature.
Not sure what kiln you need for your space, or what features you want to add on? Give us a call today, and our experienced staff will help you to find the perfect Olympic kiln.
