The Tuckers Cone Art model BX1813D is an extremely versatile kiln. It is a small kiln, making it a good kiln for the individual artist. It is great to use in porcelain jewelry studios, pottery studios and even classrooms. The BX1813D fires easily to Cone 10 -- the model's 'D' designation means that the kiln has double insulation with a 2.5” brink interior and 1” block of insulation. This double insulation helps reduce the cost of electricity used by up to 30%, making this kiln safer and more cost efficient. The BX1813D also has a cooler jacket, making moving around it while firing safer as well. Kanthal A-1 elements, stainless steel jacket and fittings, and excellent Cone Art craftsmanship are all standard.

The 12-key Bartlett electronic controller has been mounted at an angle, making it easy to view the control panel. This controller comes with pre-set programs for bisquing or glazing at various speeds, but it also has the capability to store multiple unique kiln programs, too. The Tuckers Cone Art model BX1813D is an excellent choice if you want maximum programming control and heat capabilities in a small package.
