Wax Resist Aftosa Green 4 oz

Aftosa Green Wax Resist is used to resist glazes. The wax is applied to the base and rims of the pieces before glazing. Although Aftosa Wax Resist is tinted green so it is easy to see while you are working with it, the Wax Resist fires clear. Aftosa Green Wax can be brushed or slip trailed to on create designs and drawings on your work. It can also be painted over top of glaze allowing you to overlap multiple glazes and resist specific areas.

TO USE . . .
Pour a small amount in a separate container, use as desired, and dispose of the excess. DO NOT pour used wax back into the original container. You may thin the wax resist to suit your use. Allow the wax to dry for 3 to 4 hours before glazing or adding a second coat. Some clean up with a sponge may be required. Clean up is easy with warm, soapy water. To help with the cleaning of brushes, before using your brush with the Wax Resist, dip your brush in liquid soap and wipe off the excess. This will protect your brush and make clean up a breeze. Be sure to fire to at least cone 017. You must have red heat or re-fire bisque at cone 06.

Please Note: The Wax will FREEZE in cold climates and will not resist effectively. If the wax has frozen, it will get lumpy and separate. Wax Resist will be sent to cold regions in the winter only at the customer's risk.
