PC-72 Fire & Ice is deep red where thick and icy blue where thin. Fire & Ice is a reduction copper red for electric firing with a dramatic icy blue-colored break on texture. Apply three coats for best oxblood red color. Layers well over AMACO Celadons, other Potter's Choice and Satin Matte glazes. Glaze layering fired results may run if paired with a runny glaze. We recommend testing any layering combination prior to putting it on a full ceramic piece. Shake well before use. For best results, do not thin the glaze and apply 3 brush coats to Cone 04 bisque. (Let the glaze dry between coats.)

If the application of this glaze is too thin, the surface will look splotchy and incomplete. For best results apply three thick coats and leave a little room at the foot for the glaze to move. Due to the powdered nature of the materials involved with the dry-mix dipping buckets of this product, their respective health information and labels differ from the brushing glazes.

Cone 5 = 1184°C (at 150°C/hour for the final 100°C of firing) / 2201°F ( at 270°F/hour in the final 200°F of firing)

Cone 6 = 1241°C (at 150°C/hour for the final 100°C of firing) / 2266°F ( at 270°F/hour in the final 200°F of firing)
