Skutt is excited to announce the KMT/KM1427-3" PK ceramic kiln. This high-capacity, Cone 10 kiln is ideal for sculpture artists and production potters working from home. This model is ideal for production or sculpture artists who aim to work on larger projects but may not have the power supply or budget for the 1627-3" PK model. It is available in 1Phase and draws 80 Amps, making it suitable for most residential installations.


Features:
The Production Kiln (PK) Design
All Production Kiln (PK) models are designed for industrial use and incorporate the following upgraded components: Solid State Relays, Busbar Element Connectors, Heavy Duty Wiring. These Solid State Relays are quiet and long lasting. Busbar Element connectors are easy to replace, and the Heavy Duty Wiring is made to withstand high temperatures and rigorous use.

Available in 1 Phase and 3 Phase Wiring, 240 or 208 Volt
This high-capacity, Cone 10 kiln is ideal for sculpture artists and production potters working from home. It can be installed in most residential buildings.

Zone Control
Thermocouples are placed in each section of the kiln to create a more even firing from top to bottom.

Dual Lid Braces
The lid braces on this model employ cams which allow the user to raise and lower the lid without having to take their hands off of the lid handles.

Lid Lifter Standard
The built-in lid lifter makes opening and closing the lid effortless.


Upgrades and Accessories:
EnviroVent 2
Downdraft Ventilation System designed to extract fumes from the kiln chamber and vent them outside of the room. Eliminates fumes, improves firing chamber atmosphere for better firing results and longer lasting elements. This model requires the purchase of a Dual Intake Kit to extract fumes from two locations in the slab.

Skutt Furniture Kit
Includes shelves and posts to create four firing levels. The kit includes:
8 - 3/4" x 22" x 13" half shelves
4 - 3/4" x 21" x 17.75" rectangular shelves
1 - 1427 Post Assortment Kit - 12 each of 1" thru 6" lengths
1 - Lb. Kiln Wash

Rolling Kiln Stand
Heavy-duty, welded steel construction with locking polyurethane wheels. Powder coated to resist rust.

Type S Thermocouples
Type S thermocouples are made with platinum so they do not corrode and should never need to be replaced.

APM Elements
These elements are specially manufactured to be more dimensionally stable at high temperatures. Recommended, but not required, for kilns fired to Cone 10 temperatures on a regular basis.

Skutt KM Kiln Master - 12 Key Controller
The KilnMaster controller has long been considered the standard of the industry. Whether you are doing a simple bisque firing or programming your own 10 segment program, the KilnMaster controller is intuitive and easy to use. Skutt spent a lot of time designing a layout that allows access to all the features efficiently. Even if you have never programmed a kiln before you will feel like an expert in no time at all.

Skutt KMT Kiln Master Touchscreen
The KMT Controller gives you everything included with the KM 12 key controller, but has a Touchscreen Interface that is much like your Smartphone. It has built in WiFi which allows you to upgrade the firm ware whenever we come out with a new feature (or heaven forbid have to fix a bug). So, in essence you have a new controller for the life of your kiln. It also comes with a free App that allows you to monitor your kiln from wherever you are.
