Mayco CG-1006 Purple Reign 4oz

Cone 06 oxidation (first photo): Purple Reign is an opaque light purple base glaze with purple and clear crystals and dark blue specks.

Cone 6 oxidation (secondl photo): Base glaze fades to blue; crystals cascade. Enhanced mobility. Surface issues may occur.

Jungle Gems™ Crystal Glazes transform in the kiln when the small pieces of glass frit burst into color and intricate patterns during the firing process. Artists use these beautiful glazes to add dramatic, colorful effects to their creations.

Mayco’s Jungle Gems are gloss glaze bases with pieces of glass frits that melt during the firing process. As the crystals bloom, they produce dramatic, colorful effects. We call it "Art in a Jar". Combine Mayco crystal glazes with other Mayco glazes, such as Stroke & Coats and Foundations for unique glaze combinations. For mid-range fire artists, the Jungle Gem glazes maintain their color with increased crystal movement at the higher temperature.

Jungle Gems are non-toxic, and safe for use by artists of all ages. Not recommended for dinnerware due to surface characteristics.
