Skutt’s GM-814 is a popular size of kiln for the glass worker making smaller objects. This compact 2-cubic-foot kiln that has been designed to address all of your glass needs -- differing from the slightly deeper GM-818 in its included lid element, the GM-814 is a great choice if you slump glass, as that lid element ensures a very even firing. Featuring Skutt’s specialized GlassMaster controller, which allows the user to run a program based on the desired effect (Fuse, Tack Fuse, or Slump), this fully digital kiln is also easy to program with custom schedules, which are then stored in the kiln’s computer. The GM-814 also features balanced elements, which ensures the most even firing possible. You can fuse on multiple layers, use large drop molds, and anneal sculptural pieces. Your shipment will also include a metal kiln stand, an operating manual, warranty card, and peep plugs. The GM-814 is a great choice for the glass classroom or for the busy production artist.
