Skutt’s powerful oval-shaped 1627-3 PK (production kiln) was designed with three main objectives in mind: make it powerful enough to handle heavy loads; make it durable enough to withstand the rigorous demands of high volume production; and make it easy to operate and maintain. Skutt has nailed all of these directives and more with this large, impressive production-ready set-up.The 1627-3 PK kiln now comes standard with Solid State Relays as well as a stationary kiln stand.

Before placing your order, please confirm your space’s voltage. The KM-1627-3PK is only available in a 3-phase model; please contact us if you are in need of a single-phase model. Skutt can only make a 1-phase version of this kiln in Low Fire. This kiln’s 208V 3P model can also be upgraded to high-functioning APM elements - this is a good choice if you plan to fire to cone 10 or higher multiple times per week. Powerful - At 23,600 watts, the KM-1627-3PK is one of the most powerful kilns on the market, giving you the freedom to fire as fast or slow as you want to Cone 10 temperatures for High Fire models.

Durability - Due to their enormous size, oval kilns have a history of cracking lids and slabs. Skutt solved this problem by introducing the first fiber lid oval kiln with a fiber insert in the base. The electrical components and wiring are industrial quality to minimize downtime and boost performance. This kiln comes standard with 3" brick (as opposed to standard 2.5").

Ease - The light fiber lid coupled with our innovative lid brace design make opening and closing the kiln a one-handed operation. The touchpad has been moved higher for easy access to programming. Like all Skutt kilns, the KM-1627-3PK is sectional, making it easy to move, repair and disassemble for loading large pieces. The entire kiln can be assembled and disassembled in less than 10 minutes using only a screwdriver. Our new busbar element connection design makes changing elements a breeze.
