Brent Arm for Foot Pedal

This is the white plastic arm for a Brent foot pedal. Do you really need to replace it or did the little set screw become loose? The plastic fork on the end can break and the hole that the set screw is sunk into can swell to the point that tightening it won't help. Typically the bolt that passes through is the culpret and those white plastic insert / washers need to be replaced. We use the foot pedal replacement kit all the time.
