Olympic Dual Media kilns are designed for firing ceramics AND glass. For the artist who works in both media, this series has a kiln for you! Dual media kilns include the following features:
• 3" brick for energy efficiency and slow cooling -- a necessity for glass-forming (and many ceramics, as well).
• Firing range to 2350F (cone 10) for high-firing pottery and ceramic projects.
• There is an element in the lid of every kiln model for glass fusing.
• ON/OFF infinite switch that activates the lid element for an intensity the kiln operator desires. This also means that the lid element doesn't have to be used, particularly when firing ceramics.
