These miniature sieves are designed to securely lock into all of the popular commercial glaze containers. These have been specifically designed to accommodate Amaco, Mayo, Coyote, and Speedball jars. They also fit perfectly in a classic 16 ounce plastic disposable cup so that option is open as well. The Jar Sieve provides a neat, clean, and compact way to refine, reconstitute, or remove chunks from their glazes without needing extra containers.

A finer mesh requires more effort to push material through but captures smaller particles. Ceramicists often select their preferred mesh size based on their specific needs. Generally, 60 Mesh suits general glaze and underglaze reconstitution, 80 Mesh is ideal for filtering out oolites and small crystals while breaking up colorants, and 100 Mesh provides the smoothest texture by breaking down the finest colorant particles, though it may also filter out some glaze, underglaze, or slip components.
