That’s right – this company has been in business for over 50 years, selling high-quality goods to the ceramics community.  Here at The Ceramic Shop, their line of surface treatment products are very popular – from graffito paper to a wide variety of potter’s ink pads, they offer products that will really enhance your finished ceramic products.

 

The Graffito Paper by Minnesota Clay Company is very similar to carbon transfer paper. These Graffito sheets are embedded with different colors of underglaze and can be used to transfer images, designs or photocopies to bisqueware. Because the sheets are also treated with wax, the underglaze is stable on the paper and during the transfer to the bisqued piece. The graffito papers have a firing range of cone 06 – 8 – please check each individual color’s product listing for color-specific limitations. Each sheet is flexible and therefore ideal for use on both straight and curved surfaces. You can trim the sheets, as well, to accommodate any potential size limitations.

 

The underglaze stamp pads by Minnesota Clay function just like ink pads, but are made from underglazes rather than ink. Simply use your favorite rubber or wooden stamp and gently press the stamp into the potter's pad. Then transfer the inked stamp image onto your green or bisqued pot and voila! Glaze over the image with a clear or other transparent glaze and fire to glaze requirements. Underglaze Stamp Pads are available in black, blue, brown, white, gold, red, bright red, orange, teal and green.  These underglaze inks can be fired from Cone 06 to Cone 8. They are safe and non-toxic and work great!
