Available in multiple sizes and two distinct versions, the CS Series adapts to your studio needs:

S models (Single Opening): The lid and chamber lift as one unit, classic clamshell style.
D models (Dual Opening): The lid can open independently from the base, allowing for top loading as well as full clamshell access.

Paragon CS19S - Spacious, Smooth, and Studio-Ready
The Paragon CS19S is the largest single-opening model in the CS Series, offering a generous 19" x 19" x 6.5" interior that accommodates larger fused panels, multi-layered compositions, or multiple smaller pieces in one firing. It lifts from the base in a single, spring-assisted motion—creating a wide-open workspace so you can build directly on the kiln floor with full visibility and zero obstruction.

The CS19S features a lightweight ceramic fiber lid with fully embedded heating elements. This pinless design minimizes dust and ensures clean, even heat distribution across your entire project surface—ideal for consistent results with large-format glasswork.

Made with Paragon’s legendary craftsmanship, the CS19S features a painted steel outer case, reversible firebrick bottom, and a reinforced steel base that supports the entire structure—no stand required. The clamshell mechanism is powered by three counterweight springs for a smooth, balanced lift, while the extended rear base keeps the kiln stable when open.

Dual mechanical relays distribute electrical load to extend relay life, and the stainless steel-sheathed, special-limit thermocouple provides accurate temperature readings for every firing. The entire system is controlled through the Sentinel Touch Xpress digital touchscreen, offering intuitive scheduling, ramp control, and program customization.

Paragon CS-19S Glass Fusing Kiln
Paragon’s square CS-19S digital glass clamshell kiln is easy to load, because the top lifts out of the way. Load the shelf first and then the glass onto the shelf. Deluxe ceramic fiber top
The CS-19S clamshell heats from the top for even heat distribution across the glass surface. The elements are completely embedded in a lightweight ceramic fiber top. The top has no element grooves or pins; this streamlined design helps eliminate dust in the firing chamber. The top of the lid is protected with a painted sheetmetal cover. The sheetmetal is bent to cover the sides of the lid and then welded at the corners. You will be amazed at the sturdy construction that has made Paragon kilns renowned among glass fusers. The self-adjusting lid floats at fusing temperatures.

Kiln lifts out of the way for easy loading
The walls and top, as a single unit, lift up and out of the way so you can assemble glass pieces inside the kiln without hassle. Add stringers and glass frit to delicate designs, often without using glue. When the kiln shelf is loaded and you are ready to fire, lower the kiln in place. The kiln is easy to open because of three counter-weight springs mounted under the kiln. This unique feature sets Paragon kilns apart from the competition. The kiln base extends 4” in the back to support the weight of the kiln when in the open position. The base comes with mar-proof rubber feet. The walls and bottom are made from hand-selected insulating firebricks. The CS-19S clamshell top and kiln walls are one unit. Reliability at the heart of the kiln
The CS-19S has a two-year warranty. A heavy steel base supports the reversible brick bottom completely. These features are extra assurance that your Paragon kiln is built to last. No extra stand is needed. For your convenience, flip the switch on the front panel to reboot the controller. The large, comfortable wooden lid handle stays cool. Paragon kilns are made in America to exacting standards. As part of our relentless pursuit of perfection, Paragon kilns go through a rigorous 15-step inspection.

Thermocouple with “special limit” wire
The thermocouple senses temperature inside the kiln. It is the small rod that extends into the firing chamber. The ¼” wide Type-K, 14-gauge, exposed-tip thermocouple is made with special-limit wire for superior accuracy. The exposed tip gives the controller a fast response time for even temperatures during holds. The thermocouple is made in America to our exacting standards.

Designed for production
Paragon’s warranty is not affected by frequency of use. Fire your new kiln every day if you want, even in commercial settings. That will have no effect on the warranty period.
