Since its founding over 65 years ago, J.K. Adams has handcrafted rolling pins and dowels in their studio in Vermont. Every J.K. Adams product is a modern classic that is built to last. Considering how tough a studio can be, these rolling pins and dowels really do stand up to the test of time – and heavy use, too! For generations now, ceramic artists have turned to J.K. Adams rolling pins to make beautiful slabs. You can feel good about your J.K. Adams purchase, too, because the company is committed to sustainable practices. In addition to a passion for high-quality handcrafting, J.K. Adams has always been concerned about their impact outside of the home or studio and in the broader community. The company was built on a foundation of sustainability, and it remains a core value of J.K. Adams to this day. Every J.K. Adams product is made in America from sustainably-grown and harvested North American wood. They fuel their facility by burning wood scraps and ship their sawdust to area farmers to use on their fields and as beds for their animals. They have also employed many generations of local families and remain one of the largest employers in the area. This is a commitment that J.K. Adams takes seriously, and here at The Ceramic Shop, we love that.
