This trimming harp tool is used to level flat, wide surfaces such as the bottom of a shallow dish or plate. It is best for removing large amounts of clay. To sharpen them, simply use a wet sandstone, apply medium to light pressure as you're drawing the edge across the stone. Apply a little pressure or a bit more, depending on how sharp you want the tool to be. A very dull edge will require more pressure. Do not use high speed motor driven grinder to sharpen these tools.
