The Single Wedging Table from Durston is engineered to offer unrivalled stability and durability, making it an essential tool for potters working in both home and professional studios. The solid hardwood construction ensures that the table remains firm under pressure, creating a stable workspace for intensive daily use.

At the centre of its design is the 80mm plaster top, which provides an optimal wedging surface by absorbing excess moisture and maintaining the right clay consistency. Ventilation channels allow air circulation for faster drying, ensuring that the surface is always ready for use. With removable plaster blocks, long-term maintenance is straightforward, allowing for replacements when needed.

For additional efficiency, the adjustable cutting wire simplifies portioning, providing clean, consistent cuts with minimal effort. The extended high-level shelf offers increased storage capacity and can be changed from the left side to the right side making it more flexible where the table can be put in a studio, this also ensures that tools, scales, and clay lumps are readily accessible without cluttering the workspace. When covered with the protective wooden top, the table transforms into a versatile workbench, maximising functionality in the studio.

The Lid is crafted from natural hardwood and is supplied as a raw material component for studio use. Because hardwood is an organic material, it naturally responds to environmental conditions. Changes in humidity, temperature, and studio climate may cause slight movement in the wood over time, including minor cupping or warping. These variations are normal and not considered defects. If any warping occurs, the lid can typically be returned to a flat position by placing it on a level surface and applying even weight until it settles.
Proper care and reasonable environmental stability will help maintain the lid’s shape and performance.
