Terra Sigillata is one of the oldest techniques used to add color, enhance, and seal a clay surface. This technique involves using very fine-grained clays, a significant amount of water, and a small quantity of deflocculant to help disperse the fine particles. Once prepared, the slurry needs to settle for 12 to 24 hours, after which the super fine particles are siphoned off.
