The Paragon CT81722 Janus builds on everything that makes the CT81722 exceptional, while adding the ability to fire both pottery and glass through a simple switch-controlled heating system. With elements mounted in the top and sidewalls, you can alternate between glass mode and pottery mode to suit your creative focus.

Dual Mode Firing—Glass or Pottery with the Flip of a Switch
The defining feature of the Janus edition is its dual heating system and manual firing mode switch:
Glass Mode: activates top and middle sidewall elements—perfect for fusing, sagging, or slumping large glass pieces on a single shelf.
Pottery Mode: activates sidewall elements only—ideal for bisque and glaze firings all the way to cone 10, or for stacking multiple shelves of smaller glass components.
Whether you’re layering glass, shaping stoneware, or experimenting with both, the CT81722 Janus adapts to your workflow.

- Solid state relay (SSR) for quieter, more efficient, and longer-lasting performance

- Top row of grooveless 2” blank bricks to reduce chipping
- Reversible firebrick floor to extend kiln life
