The Monkey Stuff Wet Trimmer (WT1) is designed to efficiently remove excess wet clay from the bases of pots before they are taken off the wheel. Unlike other methods for cleaning the base of wet pots—such as using a knife to cut away material from the pot and a needle tool to slice material from the wheel head—the WT1 allows you to perform this operation in a single motion with the right technique.
The trimming blade is blunted to prevent damage to your bats or wheel and is angled at 60 degrees, making it easy to maneuver around the base of a variety of pots. The blade itself is made from 1/8" thick 304 stainless steel, which is thicker than a standard trimming tool. This extra thickness helps to push the material down and away from the pot effectively.
