A powdered natural gum material used as a binder and suspending agent in glazes.
Directions for adding to The Ceramic Shop Pro Series Glazes:
Add 1/4 teaspoon of dry Gum Arabic (approximately 3 grams) directly to the 16oz (1 Pint) jar. Shake vigorously for 1 min to incorporate. Allow to sit overnight and shake vigorously for 1 min.
For best results sieve through a 60 or 80 mesh screen for a smoother application.
*Note*
Gum Arabic is an organic additive and may grow bactieria and mold over time. Mix in small batches and use within 7-10 days.
