We designed this heavy duty wedging table / recycle slab originally for a production studio. We loved it so much we have decided to put it in our line up of furniture that we can make for schools and individual studios. The frames are made of welded tube steel, and powdercoated for strong corrosion resistance. The top wedging table frame is open on the bottom which allows for the moisture build up in the plaster slab to dry out without developing mold. Each leg is fitted with individually adjustable feet for leveling.

We have choosen Hydro-Stone to cast into the slab for its ability to wick water out of the clay and for it's strength. This is the best wedging surface we have ever used or seen. It is designed to stand anywhere in the studio, but for the best stability we recommend setting it against a wall.

Wedging table comes with 2 bags of Hydrostone for you to cast in your studio.

Dimensions: 36"w x 36"d x 33"

How to pour your tabletop:

Start by turning the table upside down on a flat, well-supported surface. Using caulk or clay, seal the edges on the outside of the frame so the liquid plaster cannot leak through. We recommend clamping the table down as added protection.

Once your table is securely in place, mix your Hydrostone.

Pour your Hydrostone mixture approximately 1 inch in height inside the table frame. Allow the hydrostone to become tacky (not fully liquid and not fully solid) at which time you can use a tool to score the exposed surface of the plaster. After scoring, you can mix and pour another batch of Hydrostone plaster. Repeat mixing in batches and scoring until the plaster envelopes the metal lattice support. Once the plaster is fully dried, you can turn the table right side up and use some fine grit sandpaper to smooth the surface.

**Please note that these tables are VERY heavy (at least 200lbs) and it is strongly recommended to get assistance to safely move them once the Hydrostone is poured and hardened.**
