Retail Sales Associate/Cashier    Currently available!

The Ceramic Shop is growing and we are looking for Customer Service/ Sales specialists to join our team!

 

You will work directly with Store Manager and are responsible for sales activities and sales associate job duties, from greeting customers, answering questions, assisting in our online customer service Chat service, taking phone calls, offering in store assistance, suggesting items, and providing product information. Individual responsibilities as a Retail Employee may include demonstrating outstanding customer service and selling skills, keeping the selling floor stocked with merchandise, assisting in display of merchandise or organizing the selling floor and stock areas. You will also need to help pick orders and help load clay and etc. into customers vehicles. A Retail Sale Associate must process payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash and store or other credit cards. Must also be able to deal with customer refunds courteously and professionally. Maintains a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting store’s commitment to our customers. Develops product knowledge by reading current vendor literature / websites and pamphlets and attending training classes, if eligible, in order to communicate it to the customer. Stays current with promotional events and sales. You are also expected to be available for additional projects as needed.

School Accounts Assistant    Currently available!

The Ceramic Shop is growing and we are looking for an energetic and eager individual to join the School Accounts team of our quickly-expanding business.

The School Accounts Assistant is responsible for picking order tickets and processing them by completing any required paperwork, locating items in the warehouse, then moving them to the processing and shipping area. The picker packer will then pack orders and prepare them to be delivered or shipped. They must inspect the items to ensure that they’re not damaged or missing any parts, and finally package them according to specifications. Additional responsibilities include scheduling deliveries and pick ups, processing returns, answering phones, and light administrative work.

The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications:

  • Having good mathematical abilities
  • Demonstrating verbal and written communication skills
  • Being proficient in basic computer applications
  • Experience with ceramic materials and supplies
  • Excellent attention to detail- able to spot problems and quickly correct them.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and able to stand for long periods of time. We are a ceramic supply company that supplies our customers with 50 lb boxes of clay and dry material. Be prepared to move and lift heavy boxes on a daily basis
  • Able to work 5 days a week. Candidate must be available M-F from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and occasionally on Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm. Note- you will be given a weekday off when you are required to work on a Saturday.

Ceramic Parts Production Assistant       Currently available!

The Production assistant will be responsible for casting and pouring clean plaster molds with accuracy and efficiency, as well as various other production activities, including but not limited to extruding, pressing, and pinning all in the effort to manufacture clay parts for use in the kiln industry. Applicants must be confident in using power equipment, ie; drill presses and hand drills, to name some. Must be able to lift 50lb bags consistently, be organized, work well with others in a team enviroment,  and work closely with the other departments. The right candidate will be on time, orderly, efficient, and self directed, but able to accept direction well. Knowledge of and experience with the ceramics process is a plus.

You MUST have experience working with your hands and have had prior work experience. This is a full time position. Typically 7-3.

Clay Production Finisher      Currently available!

The Production Technician provides essential support to the manufacturing team by preparing the raw materials that go into the manufacturing process, ensuring product quality during production, and handling the product during and after the manufacturing process. An ideal candidate would be a self-motivated and hard worker, with great time management skills. The position requires a considerable amount of physical activity and an eligible candidate must be able to regularly lift 50lbs throughout a given day. Working with your hands, manufacturing and ceramics experience is a plus.

Core Responsibilities include: Loading and unloading high volumes of product from the production kilns, Quality control on unfired product (trimming, cleaning, and rejecting defects prior to firing), Reporting low inventory on raw materials in a timely manner to Wholesale Manager/ Materials Purchaser, and Other responsibilities that may be added or modified as the position requires.

Our constantly growing web team is looking for a picking and packing assistant to help process and ship our orders. An ideal candidate would be a self-motivated and hard worker, with great time management skills. Fast-paced and positive environment.

Plaster Production Lead    Currently not available

 

Job Duties:
- Mix and fill molds with a variety of plasters using techniques developed specifically for Hydrobat Production and similar products.

- De-mold and finish castings on wheel if need be.

- Measures and mixes plaster with best practices in mind.

- Use all safety precautions.

- Inspects and tests parts or products for defects and to verify accuracy and adherence to standards.

- Works closely with supervisor to keep materials in stock.

Job Description:
The warehouse lead is responsible for receiving and shipping all incoming and outgoing freight orders. The warehouse lead ensures that the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and consistent with current safety regulations at all times. He or she will also help maintain inventory, monitor all shipments, communicate with customers, assist in loading and unloading customer orders, assist with administrative tasks relating to the shipping and receiving of orders, and communicate with vendors to identify and resolve shipment discrepancies and damages. The warehouse lead is expected to keep a professional attitude with all vendors, customers, and work closely with all departments as needed. The warehouse lead will file all freight claims and assure a timely solution to customers shipping issues.

 

- Maintain Inventory and stock control. Ensure that the storage areas and warehouse is kept clean and tidy, which includes identifying and resolving areas where processes could be improved and work practices amended.
- Monitor Shipments and deliveries & maintain an organized record of shipping and receiving documents.
- Communicate with Customers and Clients, ensuring delivery and receiving problems are resolved and executed smoothly.
- Prepare and process all paperwork relating to the shipping of orders for customers. This may include invoices, bill of ladings, tracking information, customs documents, etc.
- Receive and organize shipments and ensure that all incoming stock is put away in a timely and organized fashion.
- Assist in any new warehouse facility moves and or physical installation of warehouse facilities.

The Ceramic Shop currently has a job opening for a part-time Inventory Manager. This flexible, back-of-the-house position could be a great opportunity for someone looking to work two to three days per week, with the possibility for extended hours over time.

Main duties:
-- Check in new shipments and compare packing lists against purchase orders. Resolve any discrepancies that may arise.
-- Update inventory in our POS system and periodically spot-check to maintain accuracy.
-- Communicate with department buyers about the status of orders and inventory
-- Note any transit-based product damage and resolve with manufacturers
-- Unpack and merchandise or stock checked-in products
