Bailey has been making products for ceramic artists since 1976. Here at The Ceramic Shop, we love Bailey products because they really are designed with the potter experience in mind!  In particular, the Bailey Quick Trim is a low-cost centering bat that fits directly on your wheel head and holds your pot in place so you can trim the foot.  This makes centering very easy for beginners, or very easy for more advanced potters working with asymmetrical forms, which can be quite difficult to trim! The Quick Trim can be supplemented with arms of various sizes, as well. 

 

Bailey’s Bat Gripper (available in 12" and 14" models) is also another studio must-have.  If you throw on a bat, you’re probably familiar with the way it can rock back and forth on a wheel head, even when it’s not warped!  Bailey’s Bat Gripper solves that problem.  This rubber mat is placed between the wheelhead and the bat; it grips both and provides the tiniest bit of cushion for that occasional slightly-warped bat.
