This relay has been used for many years by Skutt Kilns and other kiln manufacturers.
As of 2011, Skutt recommends replacing your old clear 25 Amp with the same 25 Amp Relay that they were always using, instead of upgrading to the new black relays which are used in all new kilns. The old style clear relays have turned out to do just as good a job if not better then the new black version.
