Author Jason Bige Burnett graduated from Western Kentucky University with a BFA in ceramics and BAs in both printmaking and graphic design. He then continued his education for two years at the renowned Penland School of Crafts as a core fellowship student. In 2012 Jason spent a year as an Artist-In-Residence at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN. He has taught many ceramic surface design workshops at various locations including Baltimore Clayworks, MudFire, Odyssey Center for Ceramic Arts, and Santa Fe Clay. His ceramics have been exhibited nationally, and he's been featured in publications such as Pottery Making Illustrated, Ceramics Monthly (Emerging Artist in 2013), American Craft Magazine, and regional magazines such as Carolina Home + Garden and WNC Magazine, in addition to being featured in the book 500 Prints on Clay (Lark Books). Jason currently lives and works as a full-time studio artist in Bakersville, NC, with his husband Michael, and their two dogs, Bones and Moonshine.
