Paragon's Iguana Kiln is powered with reliable extra heavy-duty elements. The Iguana has a long element life because elements do not “struggle” to reach higher temperatures. The 240 volt Iguana plugs into a standard 6-50R outlet which is what most studio kilns already use. Potters and ceramists who struggle with top-loading kilns will love Paragon's Iguana because the doors swings open wide making it easier to load. For your peace of mind, the Iguana includes a safety switch that shuts off power to the controller when not in use.
