Two Heavy-duty Door Latch Turn-downs
Locking clasp: Door can be locked with a pad lock for safety in a classroom
Heavy Gauge Welded Sheet Steel Case: A heavy gauge steel is important for long term corrosion resistance.
Integrated Welded Steel Stand:
Carefully fabricated from structural square tubing members. Tough Powder Coated Case for long-lasting finish. A steel drawer neatly holds the furniture posts when not being used. Steel Racks that neatly and safely hold ceramic shelves when not being used.
Ceramic Element Holders protect the firebrick lining and elements - critical for long-term durability.
Heavy-Duty Elements in 13 or 14 gauge are evenly spaced on sides, back and door. (Note: it is critical to have elements on the door to achieve good uniformity in a front-loading kiln).
There are three seperate heating zones, a total of 6 elements on 12 rows with 2 elements per zone.
Multi-layered insulation with 2-1/2" of firebrick plus 2" of backup mineral wool on sides, back, door and top. Kiln is relatively cool to touch (an important safety issue in a classroom).
A major feature is the flat "Dutch" Arch Roof Construction, Arched construction prevents collapsed roofs in a 24" wide span.
Door has an inset door plug that creates an effective heat lock around the door seal.
The woven fiberglass Door Gasket increases the tightness of the door seal even more.
DynaTrol Automatic Control can be mounted on wall away from kiln heat.
Easy to Program: Four Easy-to-Use ceramic programs and Six user-defined Vary-Fire programs.
Type K Thermocouples in Ceramic Protection Tubes will last longer and no metallic dust will get into your kiln (there is one for each zone).
Circuit Fuses: All three element circuits are separately fused for safety.
On-Off Switch: Also included is a Panel-Mounted Control Fuse.
No Mercury: Mechanical Power Contactors are used for safety.
Door Power Shut-Off Switch: This turns power off to elements when door is open for safety.

NOTE: The kiln can be moved through a 34-1/2" wide by 73" high door without removing the door. The integrated steel stand will accommodate a normal 27" wide pallet jack for moving the kiln in either direction.
