The DaVinci production kilns are unequivocally rated for cone 10 operation.
They have a higher K.W. power rating than most other ceramic kilns. Like all the L&L kilns, the Davinci features the Dyna Glow ceramic element holders that conduct heat, protect fire brick and ensure easy kiln maintenance. DaVinci kilns feature a unique shallow arch design that provides a very strong structure and promotes natural convection. The square arched shape also allows for maximizing the square footage space for small and large pieces to be fired.
Power Bottoms are available as an option. The Power Bottom feature gives you extra elements installed in the bottom of the kiln, for extra power. All DaVinci production kilns are sectionalized. You can increase or decrease the size by adding or removing a section.
Another great safety option is the Orton kiln sitter (with back-up safety timer) that shuts kiln off if the auto control fails for any reason. The Orton kiln sitter is mounted several inches away from kiln case (with air in between) in its own separate panel box to keep it cool and improve the contactor life.
The Davinci is so efficient you can save on electric bills for small loads yet have ample firing capacity and the ability to
add capacity in the future.
Add another safety feature to your Davinci, the Vent-Sure kiln vent. The fumes leaving the kiln are under vacuum. The Vent-Sure is versatile and can vent two kilns at the same time. The Vent-Sure motor is designed to be placed away from the heat to ensure its long life. The Ceramic Shop offers kiln vent installations and can make consultations for customizing the Vent-Sure to fit the room design.
