Has a variety of applications in the coloration and decoloration (by suppressing yellow) of glass. Used in ceramic glazes, this oxidecreates spectacular violet, red-violet and blue-violet hues. Use of the oxide in glaze versus stain can yield excellent transparency and translucency.
