The Paragon SC model kilns are designed to be versitile, hard working, and fast, which is why they are loved by so many artists. The SC Kilns are popular with teachers because they fire fast, plug into a standard household outlet, and ships by UPS. SC Kilns have the versatility to fire Art Clay Silver, PMC silver clay, china painting, decals, enameling, glass fusing, lost wax casting, and low fire ceramics up to 2000°F. The SC2 and SC3 kilns are made of a ceramic fiber interior that heats and cools silver clay rapidly for production studios (check out the firebrick model kilns if you're firing mostly bronze and copper clay). The high-tech ceramic fiber firing chamber is wrapped in a steel inner case. The outer steel case remains cool due to the layer of air between it and the inner case. In addition, the case is slotted for air circulation. Electrical components, located in the base, stay cool even at extended hold times. The SC kilns are easy to operate thanks to the simple touch Sentry Xpress digital controller. Program the heating rate and hold time for each type of clay that you fire.
